Here in probably the greenest part of the world
There are somethings in life that you can hardly believe they had happened, are there? Well as for my case, these are like when i moved to Singapore...or...like being here right now in Ireland :s...Probably the next big thing would be graduation -nah..dat's not so big..u knew it wud happen haha-, when my sister gets married or even myself :s..yep that's more unimaginable..
Anyway..I'm in Ireland!!!! I still can't believe this haha...yep, i'm excited definitely but anxious nevertheless...A little description of what i've seen so far..it's completely green and flat down here -not a very good description ya haha-...But really, everywhere u look, it's green, all shades of green...The town where I lived is called Limerick. I haven't gone to the city centre yet, but here where my campus is, it's truly natural there's a river right at d back of my house, with real swans!!!...The houses are lovely, like those u see in some movies..well, not intending to over-idolise the westerns but they are really lovely =)...
So, over the past few days there were orientation for all the exchange students. Apparently i'm the only one with black hair and yellow skin...I got to know many students from all over europe..We've had difficulties catching each other's accent, like when i said 'mail' someone thought it's 'meal', or when once, i unconsciously said 'ok lah' someone said 'wat did u say? ok la??:S' hahaha... It feels like playing charade sometimes, or even taboo....
So far, most of the Irish I've met are really2x friendly...like when you ask for direction or when u meet some stranger in the street, they would say 'Hi..How are you?'...The Irish are famous for their drinking habit as well...we have some pubs here in the campus....I've been there but yet to try their Guiness...
Two things I couldn't stand here are the weather and the prices...It's probably around 8-10 deg on the day but sometimes the wind gets quite strong and some days get really cold until my hands and feet hurt =(...and the prices..they sell koka noodle from singapore -prob this's d only thing frm singapore- for 1.30 euro per cup :s:s...a normal meal cost about 3.50-5 euros...i could die of shock rather than hunger really!
Well i would be starting school tomorrow so this is just the very beginning of another unbelievable things that happen in my life...will update u soon...

Yeah... Sometimes, when the prices of things are really expensive and a bit irrational, it's because they include what we call "the cost of shock" in their prices. Do you know what it is?
Well, when you see the price of the thing, and you get shocked... That's it! They charge you some money for being shocked when seeing the price. hehehe :P That's why they become expensive.
putut garink -_-'
